Delivering Supplies

L’ASAS strives to help as many people as possible while creating a long-term impact. This includes distributing various types of supplies.

For various reasons, some villages need supplies, ranging from technical equipment to everyday materials and educational resources.

During its visits to these villages, many locals have asked the association for support with daily life, as well as assistance when communities are affected by natural disasters.

One of L’ASAS’s most significant initiatives is the delivery of a 5-ton container filled with supplies sent directly from Switzerland. Several distributions have been carried out in different villages, such as Ban Phoumock, where families received essentials like clothing and blankets to help them face the winter more comfortably. Another distribution tour delivered school supplies to seven primary schools in the Pakou district. Additional villages benefiting from the container included Ban Thongkhung, Ban Padheng, Ban Phou Panack, and Kho Kram, where L’ASAS distributed supplies to local residents.

These distribution tours have helped 700 children and residents across eight villages gain access to essential materials.

Another L’ASAS initiative was the purchase and donation of a boat to transport children from remote villages to school.

Jom, a 30-year-old man from Ban Hoy Han, approached the association for help in acquiring the boat. His role is crucial: he ferries the children to secondary school free of charge, only requesting a small contribution from families to cover fuel costs. He needed a boat large enough to make a single trip for all the children. L’ASAS supported him by sourcing, purchasing, and renovating the boat, as well as providing life jackets.

You can contribute to our efforts by making a donation to the association.

All of this is possible thanks to you!
