Library Boat

The floating library distributes school supplies to villages along the Nam Ou River.

This project was launched after we observed that many schools lacked basic supplies and textbooks.

For this reason, L’ASAS decided to build a floating library, capable of storing and distributing school materials while reaching over 30 villages each month. Monthly activities include storytelling sessions, reading workshops, book lending, and other educational programs.

The floating library is supported by donations from regular contributors as well as one-time donors. This boat is also made available to other organizations that wish to distribute school supplies or run workshops on specific programs, such as puberty education or environmental conservation. The goal of this long-term project is to give every child the opportunity to receive a proper education and maintain decent hygiene.
