Workshops

The idea of workshops on various topics came about thanks to partnerships with different organizations. These workshops teach children and adults important concepts such as hygiene, puberty, and more.

Some associations and organizations have set up workshops on various aspects of health. L'ASAS chose to support some of these projects through financial assistance.

For example, the Luang Prabang Public Library runs hygiene workshops during its tours delivering school supplies and visiting different villages. L'ASAS funds part of these workshops conducted in the villages.

One of the initiatives supported by L'ASAS is a puberty workshop for 150 young girls, organized by the “Eau Laos” association. The project focuses on the well-being of young Lao girls, particularly regarding hygiene and puberty.

The girls in the village of Ban Xieng often know nothing about puberty, menstruation, or how to manage it at school. As a result, many of them are fearful, practice poor hygiene, and miss several days of school each month. This leads to delays in their education and sometimes even dropping out. Early pregnancies are also a consequence of this lack of basic knowledge about bodily changes.

At the end of the workshop, each girl receives her own book and hygiene kit.

By supporting these partner projects, L'ASAS helps create a lasting positive impact on local communities and enables their initiatives to thrive over the long term.

A big thank you to them—and to you!
